For those who are in different time zones or cannot make the live Smithsonian Digital Volunteering Events, do not fret! The asynchronous format allows you to submit volunteering/service hours by yourself. The deadline for submitting hours is March 10th. Have fun transcribing everybody!

GradSWE: Virtual 4th Grade Outreach

GradSWE is looking for volunteers for its 4th-grade outreach at Holmes Elementary school! This year, due to COVID, we will be doing this outreach virtually via zoom on Tuesdays 9:30-10:15 AM EST on March 2, 9, 16, and 23rd. You will be going over various STEM-based activities with the students, which we will go over during our training on the week of Feb 22. Check out the website to sign up by Feb 19.

This asynchronous volunteering is a fun and easy way to get service hours on your own time! Use the Smithsonian Digital Volunteering platform to transcribe historical documents, and submit your hours (up to 3) for service credit!
