Tau Beta Pi (TBP) is the only engineering honor society representing the entire engineering profession. It is the nation's second-oldest honor society, founded at Lehigh University in 1885. There are now active collegiate chapters at 255 US colleges and universities, 50 active alumni chapters in 16 districts across the country, and a total initiated membership of over 630,000.

Michigan Gamma is the TBP chapter at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. It was established in 1906 and has since grown to be the second largest chapter in TBP.
In addition to being one of the largest chapters, we are also the most active. We partner with SWE to host the yearly Fall Engineering Career Fair,organize free one-on-one tutoring, and run dozens of community service, K-12 outreach, and professional development events each semester.
