Event Type: MindSET
We used paper airplanes to introduce 3rd-5th graders to forces and experimenting with different paper airplane designs, which encouraged them to think critically about why or why not their paper airplane worked and promoted interest in engineering. Hopefully working on the paper airplanes and the module helped them gain an interest in aerospace engineering, and the variety of paper plane designs and materials available fostered their creativity and encouraged them to work on paper planes outside of the module.
