The Order of the Engineer Ceremony seeks to promote professionalism and ethics in engineering. Graduates who participate in the ceremony receive a special ring to remind them of their responsibility as an engineer. The event is available to all graduating students in the College of Engineering.
As a volunteer, you will provide assistance for setup, sign-in, food, etc. Dress code will be business casual.

Reducing energy consumption remains critical to climate change. The US total primary energy consumption in 2023 was about 93 quadrillion British thermal units (Btu), and industrial and transportation sectors had a share of 24% and 30%, respectively. Sprays have wide applications in both industries and transportation. The energy demand of spray systems remains high mainly due to the high pressure requirements for targeted performance, and many of the sprays are difficult to investigate due to multi-phase, multi-fluid phenomena. To reduce energy consumption, fundamental spray characterization with a specific system is necessary. This study characterized air-assisted water sprays at freezing conditions, with direct application to snowmaking for winter sports. High-speed direct images and thermal images of sprays were captured and analyzed both qualitatively and quantitatively. The results will be used to improve snowmaking.

This popular camp receives around 400 applicants every season and is an incredible way to inspire the next generation of engineers.
