Since F22, TBP has extended our tutoring services to the Naval ROTC battalion of the University of Michigan and Eastern Michigan University. During their study hours, TBP members sign up to cover shifts and answer their questions, mostly for introductory courses like PHYSICS 140/240 and MATH 115/116.

Tutors will go to the Observatory Lodge, OBL 2102 (in front of MOJO). To be let into the building, either email tchacon@umich.edu, or phone the proctors that ill open the door to you. The proctors' numbers are the following

3D Printing & CAD - NEST Engineering Skills Series

The NEST Engineering Skills Series is a new series of workshops in the spirit of TBP's NEST program where MI-G members will gain hands-on experience with valuable engineering skills and tools, regardless of major or experience level.
3D printing is a form of additive manufacturing where thin layers of melted filament are compiled to form 3D objects. 3D printing is an important skill for prototyping in industry and you'll have an opportunity at this workshop to use an actual 3D printer!
CAD, or computer-aided design, is an engineering skill ubiquitous for designing and simulating physical objects and assemblies. CAD is used extensively by professionals and hobbyists alike and this workshop will introduce you to the basics of Solidworks, a popular CAD software. This is a great opportunity to learn a valuable skill for both industry and personal projects and no prior experience is needed!

The Winter 2026 Semesterly Banquet

Each semester, the outstanding members of the chapter are recognized at a dinner/awards ceremony hosted immediately following initiation. The best electees, electee teams, project leads, and more are recognized. Superlatives are exchanged, and a fun activity is given to the attendees. This friendly competition ends the night after recognizing the achievements of the chapter and its members over the past semester.

The Order of the Engineer ceremony seeks to promote professionalism and ethics in engineering. Graduates who participate in the ceremony receive a special ring to remind them of their responsibility as an engineer. The event is available to all graduating students in the College of Engineering.
As a volunteer, you will provide assistance for set up, sign-in, food, etc. Dress code will be business casual.
