The NEST Engineering Skills Series is a new series of workshops in the spirit of TBP's NEST program where MI-G members will gain hands-on experience with valuable engineering skills and tools, regardless of major or experience level.
Join us for an Introduction to Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) using STAR-CCM+ workshop! This session will introduce how engineers simulate fluid flow, pressure distributions, and aerodynamic performance using industry-standard tools. No prior experience is required—just come ready to learn a valuable and widely used engineering skill!
NEST, or New Engineering Solutions for Tomorrow, is a national engineering competition ran by TBP Nationals where participating chapters develop an engineering solution to a new global issue chosen at National Convention every year. The MI-G NEST team came in second for the Resource Insecurity challenge last year and are currently developing a solution to this year's Mitigating the Impact of Natural Disasters competition.
